Michael van den Bos
Michael van den Bos's madness for movies began when he was a geeky little kid slavishly watching The Wonderful World of Disney on CBC-TV every Sunday night. When his mother told him it was okay to stay up late on a school night to watch Gone With The Wind and Citizen Kane, his addiction was permanently fixed.
Michael worked in the animation business for 22 years; 18 of those years as a producer of animated television programming that included series, specials, commercials and short theatrical cartoons.
Michael currently teaches Film Theory at the Vancouver Film School, Film History at the Pacific Audio Visual Institute and the History of Character Animation at Capilano University in North Vancouver. He also writes a column called "Cinemascope" about classic and overlooked films for Vancouver View Magazine.
Michael lives in Vancouver, British Columbia with his beautiful and very tolerant wife, Lisa, and their two cats, Buster & Charlie. In his spare time Michael watches more movies.
